A photoshoot on the Strip.

Four miles of neon and the best-lit sidewalk in America. Here's where to actually stand.

Where to stand

The sidewalk, Bellagio to Cosmopolitan

The stretch everyone means when they say 'the Strip'. Fountains on one side, Paris and the balloon across the street, the Cosmo's glass behind you — all from the public sidewalk.

The pedestrian bridges

Over the Strip at Flamingo, Tropicana and Sands: the elevated view of the whole boulevard, and they're public.

The Sphere from the Sands Avenue bridge

Best at night when it's animating. Public bridge, straight-on view.

The Paris balloon and the Eiffel Tower legs

From the sidewalk across the street — the postcard.

The north end at night

Quieter sidewalk, cleaner backdrops, the neon reads better with fewer people in frame.

When

Golden hour is roughly the hour before sunset — check the time for your date. Night shots work from about 8 PM when the signs are on and the sky's gone dark. Avoid 1–4 PM in summer: it's flat, hot, and everyone squints.

Good to know

The sidewalk is public — that's where we shoot. Anything on casino property — hotel interiors, casino floors, pool decks, the resort forecourts and gardens — doesn't allow outside photographers, and your photographer knows the line. Wear shoes you can walk a mile in; the Strip is longer than it looks.
